1902-1907 Impressive Tiffany & Co Sterling Silver Strawberry Openwork Basket

Presented is a fabulous heavy and large Tiffany & Co sterling silver basket. This piece dates to 1902-1907. The basket is done in a beautiful openwork design of strawberries and their leaves, with fantastic hand chased detailing and texturing. The basket has a heavy cast handle and applied rim, with a foliate scroll design. The basket is a good large size, guaranteed to make an impression however it is displayed. This piece is in great overall condition. The details of the designs are nice and crisp. There has been a professional dent removal to the center, leaving a bright mirror shine. This is not a monogram removal and the silver has not been thinned or weakened in any way. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. The underside of the piece is stamped with the Tiffany & Co. hallmark, sterling 925-1000 and the initial C for the company director between 1902-1907, Charles T. Cook. The basket is about 15 inches from end to end and about 10 inches to the top of the handle. The basket weighs 1444 grams or 50.9 regular ounces. -jm
