Presented is an Art Nouveau, sterling silver brooch or pin made by William B. Kerr & Company of Newark, New Jersey during the late 1800s or very early 1900s. This turn of the century piece is done in a sinuous, openwork form that is appropriate for the style of its time. The pin shows a profile of a pretty woman and her textured, wavy hair is swirling all around her face.
The back is marked with William B. Kerr & Co’s hallmark and sterling. This piece is in excellent overall condition. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits and no repairs.
The brooch measures 2 3/8 inches wide and weighs 21.5 grams.
