1890s German Silver Decorative Perfume Bottle w Chatelaine Hook & Chain

Presented is an attractive, German silver perfume bottle or vinaigrette made around the 1890s. The thin bottle is decorated with lovely spade -shaped leaf bands of design along the rims of either side. There is an un-engraved cartouche in the center of one side and a raised trumpet, pan flute, tambourine, ribbon and flower crest on the other side. The decorative stopper or lid features a full figure butterfly, which is safely attached by a chain. The whole piece hangs from a silver chain attached to a curved piece that hangs over a belt, essentially a chatelaine.

This piece is marked Germany and has pseudo-hallmarks from Hanau. This piece is guaranteed to be at least .800 purity silver.

This piece is in excellent overall condition. There are no dents, no missing pieces, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs.

The bottle itself measures 1 7/8 by 3 5/8 inches and the whole piece measures 8 3/4 inches long and weighs 45 grams.
