This piece is hallmarked with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head for the city of London, the date letter E for 1880, the duty stamp of Queen Victoria's head, and a maker's mark for Frederick Brasted.
The porringer measures about 7 1/2 inches from handle to handle or about 4 1/4 inches in diameter at the rim, and stands about 2 1/2 inches tall.
This piece weighs 172 grams or 6.1 regular ounces.
