Presented is a great Swedish silver sugar sifter or tea strainer from 1875. This piece displays an elegant fluted bowl and and shell decorations around the edge. The sifter has a nice wooden handle.
The reverse is marked with full Swedish hallmarks: the Swedish purity mark for .830 silver, the city mark for Visby, the date mark “V5” representing 1875, and the maker's mark “ANE”.
This piece is in great overall condition. The pierced holes are clean and ready for use. The shell decorations and the wooden handle are a bit worn.
There are no monograms, no monogram removals, no breaks, and no repairs.
