Presented is a fabulous French porcelain gravy or sauce boat with attached under-plate from the 1870s. This piece displays a gorgeous orange and gold pattern with classic French scroll and leafy details around the exterior of the piece and border of the plate. The handles shows an interesting interwoven vine-style design. The design has an applied darker orange border with the light orange being hand painted. Underneath the spout on either side, there is a stylized monogram, a W and T, interwoven, made up of the orange style decorations and pink roses to make up the letters. The gravy boat is in good overall condition, especially considering age. The pattern details and the gilding are in great shape with only minor losses to the gilding on some high points. There is one repair to the edge of the boat, as shown in the photos. There are no other breaks or repairs. There are no cracks or crazing.
Measurements: 10 inches long, 7 inches across handle to handle, and 4 inches tall -kc
