Presented is a large handsome Russian silver creamer or small milk pitcher from 1860. This piece is made in a paneled form with fluted decoration around the lower half of the body, matching the fluted design around the pedestal foot. There are slight remnants of a gold wash on the interior.
The underside is marked with Russian hallmarks; the 84 mark for .875 purity
silver, the city mark for St. Petersburg, and the assay mark for 1860 with the initials for assay master Eduvard
Fyodorovich Brandenburg. There is also a mark's mark which is likely for Johann
Myllys.
This piece is in excellent condition. The decorations are crisp. There are no
monograms, no monogram removals, no leaks, no breaks, and no repairs.
