Presented is a fabulous 1850s American coin silver large pitcher. This piece displays ornate hand chased flowers with birds and scrolls. The pitched has matching cast and applied handle and feet which displays vines and scrolls. The quality is superb, in every way. Under the spout, there is a large cartouche that has been monogrammed “Fargo”. This piece belonged to William Fargo's family. He started the stagecoach company, and later Wells Fargo Bank. There are no hallmarks, which is not unusual for American coin silver. This piece has been tested and is guaranteed to be coin silver. The piece is in excellent overall condition. The chased decoration are crisp and well-defined. There are no breaks, no splits, no dents, no repairs, and no problems of any kind.
