1847 Great Victorian English Sterling Silver Pierced Berry Serving Ladle 6"
Presented is a nice little Victorian English sterling silver pierced serving ladle. This piece dates to 1847 and was made by John Robert Harris. The bowl of the ladle features a pierced work design, great for serving things like berries or other fruit in syrup, or sifting sugar. The handle is done in a classical Fiddle pattern.
This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This piece is hallmarked on the back of the handle with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head for the city of London, the date letter M for 1847, Queen Victoria's head duty mark, and the maker's mark for John Robert Harris.
The ladle is about 6 inches long.
