1831 Antique American 18k Gold Black Enamel Memorial Pendant

Presented is a beautiful antique American 18k gold memorial pendant. This pendant has black enameling around the gold letters “In memory of”. In the center it is engraved “My mother obit 16^th Sept. 1831”. There is a urn in the center. This piece is well made. There is fine quality and deeply hand chased design bordering the pendant. On the bale it is engraved “Elizabeth”. On the back there is a locket of hair under the glass bezel.

This piece was made around 1831.

The pendant is tested and guaranteed for 18k gold.

This piece is in good overall condition. There is a small chip to the black enamel between the 3 o'clock to 5 o'clock position by the urn.
