Presented is a fabulous English sterling silver creamer from 1820. This piece displays a handsome gadroon edge and a curved threaded detail all the way around. The handle is decorated with acanthus leaves and threaded details. The creamer stands on 4 ball feet and has a bright gilded interior.

The bottom of the creamer is monogrammed LWB.

The piece is marked on the side with full English hallmarks: the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head crowned for London, the duty mark of King George III, and the date letter E representing 1820. The date letter, positioned between the city and duty marks, is very worn but in certain light is still readable. The piece is also marked with the maker's mark for William Bateman.

This piece is in excellent overall condition. The decorations are well-defined. There are no dents, no breaks, and no repairs.
