1820-1850's Exquisite Set 12 Russian Silver Quilled Wire Filigree Spoons

Presented is a fabulous set of 12 Russian silver spoons. These spoons date to 1820-1850's. The handles of the spoons are done in a lovely openwork filigree design, with a fine milgrain texture. Beneath the openwork, each spoon is monogrammed XY. This is a unique and very visually appealing set, and would make a great addition to any silver collection.

Each spoon is stamped with a maker's mark in Cyrillic. The spoons are at least 875 purity silver, probably higher, possibly as high as 916.

The spoons are in great overall condition. There are a few minor dings here and there to some of the bowls of the spoons, but nothing of any consequence. One of the spoons has a small cut to the back of the stem, this is not a split or break, this is where the spoon was assayed for its silver purity at some point in the past. The filigree is all intact and the milgrain texture is nice and crisp. There are no breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

Each spoon is about 6 1/8 inches long.

The total weight for the set is 250 grams or 8.9 regular ounces.
