Presented is a fancy small English sterling silver footed salt cellar or bowl from 1815. This piece, done in the style of Paul Storr displays beautiful flower details around the exterior and a lion and high relief over each claw foot. The edge of the bowl has a great ribbed decoration. The interior has a great gold wash. This piece has substantial weight.
The underside of this bowl is marked with full English hallmarks: The lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head crowned for London, the duty mark of King George III, and the date letter U representing 1815. This piece appears to have a maker's mark, likely WP, but it is 100% clear.
This piece is in excellent overall condition. There are no monograms, no monogram removals, no breaks, and no repairs.
