Presented is a great pair of English Georgian sterling silver serving spoons. These spoons date to 1811 and were made by Solomon Hougham. The spoons are done in a simple, classical form, with rounded, downward-turned tips to the handles. Each spoon has a finely engraved crest of a demi-stag rampant. These are long handled serving spoons, sometimes called platter or stuffing spoons, suitable for a wide variety of serving uses.

This pair is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

Each piece is hallmarked with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head crowned for the city of London, the date letter Q for 1811, King George III's head duty mark, and the maker's mark for Solomon Hougham.

Each spoon is about 11 1/2 inches long.

The total weight for the pair is 195 grams or 6.9 regular ounces.
