Presented is a lovely pair of Georgian sterling silver master salt spoons. The spoons have a great rounded shape to the bowl and a beaded edge to the handles. There is a monogram on the front of each handle, likely TK, in a flowing script.
Both pieces are marked with English hallmarks, they are quite worn, but we were able to make out the lion passant for sterling silver, the duty mark of King George III, and the date letter N, for 1788. There is also a maker's mark for Thomas Wallis II.
The spoons are in good condition. The marks and pattern details are worn in some places. There are a few small dings in the bowl of the spoons. There are no breaks, no splits, and no repairs.
The spoons measure about 4 inches long.
Total Weight: 16.6 grams or 0.6 ounces -kc
