Presented is an antique sterling silver gravy or sauce ladle with a detailed engraving of a bird on the top of the handle.
The ladle is fully hallmarked on the reverse with the lion passant for sterling silver, a leopard's head crowned for London, a duty mark of King George III's head, a date letter k for 1785, and the maker's mark GS for George Smith.
The ladle and the engraving are in excellent condition. There are no dents, splits, breaks, or repairs.
