Regular price $338.40 $0.00 Unit price per
Presented is a great English Georgian sterling silver serving spoon. This piece dates to 1782 and was made by George Smith III. The spoon is done in a classical Old English form, with a rounded, downward-turned tip to the end of the handle. The front of the handle is engraved with a crest of a deer or stag lodged. This is a long handled serving spoon, sometimes called a stuffing or platter spoon, but of course it can be used for a wide variety of serving purposes.

This piece is in great overall condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

This piece is hallmarked with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head crowned for the city of London, the date letter G for 1782, and the maker's mark for George Smith III.

The spoon is about 11 1/2 inches long.

This piece weighs 105 grams or 3.7 regular ounces.
