The scoop is double ended, with a regular spoon end and a narrow scoop end for scooping marrow out of bones. Both the spoon end and the scoop end face the same way. This is a sturdy, well made piece of English silver, and would make an exceptional addition to any silver collection.

This piece is in great overall condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

This piece is hallmarked on the underside with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head crowned for the city of London, the date letter R for 1772, and the maker's mark for William Fearn.

The marrow spoon is about 7 5/8 inches long.

The marrow spoon weighs 35.3 grams or 1.3regular ounces.
