Presented is a set of 20 porcelain, fine china bouillon (or fruit or dessert) bowls with 15 saucers made by Mintons of England. Imagine these for your morning mandarins or dinnertime palate-cleansing sorbet! These pieces were produced between 1912 and 1950. Cups and saucers are in such an appetizing style, decorated in the colorful Cuckoo pattern depicting multi-colored birds perched amidst blooming flowers on delicate stems. The cup and saucer rims have a dark taupe border and a detailed vermilion decorative band.

All pieces bear a Mintons hallmark on the underside.

This set includes some pieces in excellent condition and some with minor issues. From these twenty cups and fifteen saucers, we are sure you will find the majority of pieces will please even the most finicky of guests at your table.

Of the 20 cups, our insanely intense scrutiny finds the following:
•6 cups are in wonderful condition with bright pattern colors, no cracks, chips or crazing!
•1 cup has some fading of the colors, and another one has a little crazing but no other issues!
•Of the other 9 cups in your lot --
•4 have one small and tight crack
•5 have a chip
◦one has a visible chip out of the foot ring,
◦the rest of these have a tiny, inconspicuous chip on the handle or rim

And of the 15 saucers,
•7 are a slightly smaller size than the other 8, but of course they all match!
•Of the 8 smaller saucers, 5 are perfect, 1 has a small tight crack and 1 shows crazing, and 1 is slightly faded
•Of the 7 larger saucers, 5 are perfect, 1 has a little tight crack inside the foot rim, and 1 shows some crazing

Each bowl measures 4 1/2 inches in diameter and is 2 1/8 inches tall (excluding handles). Please peruse our photographs showing size and scale and other visual detail.
