Presented is a neat 14 karat gold pin or brooch in the shape of a bow and pelican. This is an interesting pin, with a tiny fish on a chain that can either hang from the pelican's beak or be hidden inside it. The pin is marvelously detailed, with a Florentine finish on the bow and fine texturing for the pelican's feathers and beak. Even the tiny fish has a detailed scale texture. The pin is very well made, with great attention to detail. The pin has a rollover style safety clasp.

The pin is in great condition. The pelican's beak opens and shuts with a good strong spring mechanism. The details of the finish and of the pelican's feathers are nice and crisp. There are no breaks and no repairs.
The pin is stamped 14k on the back of the bow, but the stamp is somewhat worn. We have tested this piece with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 14 karat gold.
The pin measures about 1 3/8 by 1 1/4 inches, LxW.
The pin weighs 7.0 grams.
