Presented is a fine quality set of 13 antique American coin silver dinner forks made by Currier & Trott of Boston, MA. This company was active between the 1820s-1850s. These forks were most likely made between 1840 to 1855. The front of each handle has a nice beaded border and the back of each handle has a monogram of the initials JMK in a Gothic script.
Each fork is marked Currier & Trott and pure coin. The marks on all of the forks show a good amount of wear. Not at all unusual for forks of this age, approximately 160 years old.
This set is in great overall condition. There is some wear to some of the monograms and beading, but there are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
Each fork measures 7 1/4 inches long and the combined weight of the set is 659.6 grams or 23.2 ounces.
