Presented is a nice set of 13 mother of pearl handled knives. The mother of pearl handles on eight of the knives are carved with a threaded design. The other five knives have simple rounded handles. The knives have a handsome lobed design on the collars. They have the old silver plated carbon steel blades. They were made in England in the late 1800s or early 1900s.
Eight of the knives are marked on the blades with a maker’s mark for Harrison Brothers & Howson. The other five are unmarked.
The knives are in good overall condition. They have some little dents and dings on the collars, and the silver plating on the blades is worn through on some of the high points, but this is minor. The mother of pearl is in great shape. There are no chips, no cracks, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The knives range in size from 7 1/8 inches to 7 3/4 inches.
