Presented is an interesting set of German silver flatware pieces. These pieces date to the late 1800s or early 1900s. The set consists of 9 spoons, 2 forks, and 2 knives. The end of each handle is done in the form of a putti holding a crowned cartouche. The back of each handle has a crest of three fleur de lis on the cartouche. This is a handsome set, and would be wonderful for serving small party foods, hors d'oeuvres, cheese, etc.
These pieces are in great overall condition. There are no splits, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The pieces have various Hanau hallmarks, but unfortunately we do not recognize the maker. The pieces are 800 purity, tested and guaranteed.
The spoons are about 5 3/4 inches long. One of the forks is about 7 inches long, while the other fork is about 8 inches long. One of the knives is about 8 inches long, while the other knife is about 8 1/8 inches long.
The total weight for the set is 390 grams or 13.8 regular ounces.
