Presented is a set of 12 large English sterling silver oval soup spoons, tablespoons, or dessert spoons in the Hanovarian pattern with rattail. The spoons have a vibrant yellow gold finish. The bowls are quite large and they hold more than 1 tablespoon in volume.
The spoons are marked on the backs with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head for London, the date letter R for 1952, the initials P.G for Peter Guille Ltd., and Peter Guille Ltd England.
The spoons are in excellent condition. The gold finish is in great shape. It looks like any wear to the finish is a result of stacking the spoons. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The spoons measure approximately 8 inches long.
The spoons' total weight is 33.38 ounces or 946.3 grams. Very heavy!!
