Presented is an elegant set of 12 sterling silver dinner knives made by Towle Silversmiths. The knives are done in the D’Orleans pattern which was first produced in 1923. The knives have sterling silver handles and stainless steel blades. Each knife is monogrammed on the end of the handle with EWA.
The knives are marked on the blades with Stainless and on the handles with the maker’s mark for Towle, Sterling Handle and Pat. 1923.
One knife has a dent on the side of the handle as shown in the photographs. There are a few other minor dents at the very tip of the handles. We have pointed out the worst of the dents in the third photograph. Otherwise, the condition is excellent. There are no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The dinner knives are 9 5/8 inches long.
