Presented is an elegant set of 12 sterling silver chocolate spoons made by Towle Silversmiths. The spoons are done in the D’Orleans pattern which was first produced in 1923. The spoons have an interesting design with a ridge down the center of the bowl. We believe that these are chocolate spoons, but perhaps they were for another purpose, you decide. Each one is engraved on the ends of the handles with EWA.
The spoons are marked on the reverse with the maker’s mark for Towle, Sterling, and Pat. 1923.
The condition is excellent. The spoons have some surface wear on the bowls, but this is quite minor. There are no dents, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
