Presented is a fine set of 12 sterling silver forks made or retailed by Bigelow Brothers & Kennard Company. The forks are done in the popular Olive pattern. They are engraved “Gilbert” on the reverse. Bigelow Brothers & Kennard Company was in business between 1845 to approximately 1865. These pieces were undoubtedly made between 1855 to 1865.
The forks are hallmarked on the reverse with Bigelow Bros & Kennard and 925 for sterling silver.
The condition is excellent. There is some rounding to the tines. There are no dents, no dings, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
