Presented is a wonderful quality set of 12 porcelain salad or dessert plates made by Royal Crown Derby. The plates are done in the attractive Pinxton Roses pattern. They are beautifully hand painted and gilded with pink roses and gold leaves. The plates have a scalloped rim decorated with gilt scrolls.
The plates are marked on the underside with Royal Crown Derby “Pinxton Roses” Circa A.D. 1797, Made in England. The date on the reverse of the plates clearly indicates when this design was first done. These plates were probably made in the 1930s, they are certainly from the 20th century.
The condition is excellent. There are no chips, no cracks, no crazing, no breaks, and no repairs.
