Presented is a fine set of 12 porcelain luncheon plates made by Mintons, one of the world’s finest quality china makers. The plates are adorned with beautiful gilt work, bouquets and sprigs of English flowers, and a lovely orange rim. The plates were made between 1912-1940.
Each plate is marked on the underside under the glaze with Mintons England for the maker and The Loring Andrews Company, Cincinnati for the retailer. Many of the plates are also impressed with Mintons. The pattern number is painted in red letters: H4704.
The condition is excellent. The plates, paint and gilding are in great shape. Each plate has mild knife marks, the kind associated with lite use. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, no crackling and no repairs.
The plates measure 9 inches in diameter.
