12 LENOX PLATES with Raised Design Potted Flowers and Butterflies Mandarin P1

Presented is a set of 12 gorgeous Lenox plates made between the 1930s - 1950s. Each plate has a wonderful gilded edge with a pale cream rim. On the rim is a nice hand painted and raised design of potted flowers, cherry blossom branches, and butterflies. The pattern is called P1. A kind ebayer has informed us that it may also be known as Mandarin.
Each plate is marked on the underside with the Lenox mark and 8/P.1. in gold lettering for the pattern. It is also marked R.H. Stearns & Co. Boston for the retailer.
The condition is excellent. The gilding and decorations are in great shape. Each plate has some very light surface wear to the middle. One plate has some very light smudges on the rim, near the potted flowers. They are under the glaze, and so they were done during manufacture and are not flaws. There are no breaks, no cracks, no splits, no chips, no crazing and no repairs.
Each plate measures about 9 1/8 inches in diameter.
