Presented is a wonderful set of 12 Gorham sterling silver cocktail, seafood, or hors d'oeuvre forks. These forks are done in the elegant Luxembourg pattern, which began production in 1893. This is a handsome pattern featuring classical scroll designs on the handle, against a finely textured background. Nine of the forks have a gold wash and matte finish to the tines, while the remaining three do not.
This set is in great condition. The matte finish and gold wash on the tines of the 9 forks that have those features is in great shape. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Each fork is stamped with the maker's mark for Gorham as well as sterling as well as the retail mark for W. Wise & Son.
Each fork is about 5 3/8 inches long.
The total weight is 166 grams or 5.9 regular ounces.
