Presented is a wonderful quality set of 12 silver dinner knives made by the highly regarded German silversmiths, M. H. Wilkens & Sohne. Their designers included Peter Behrens, Albin Muller, and Heinrich Vogeler. These are the huge European size dinner knives. They are done in a terrific Art Deco pattern and monogrammed with an A in block script. The knives have silver plated carbon steel blades. This design is very similar to Tiffany & Co.'s Hampton pattern. If you have this pattern, or a similar one, I believe the knives could work quite well with your set.
The knives are hallmarked on the handles with the 800, crescent moon and crown for German 800 purity silver and a maker’s mark for M. H. Wilkens & Sohne.
The condition is excellent. The handles have some little dings here and there, but this is quite minor. There are no dents, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The knives are 9 7/8 inches long.
