Presented is a set of 12 fine Royal Doulton china dinner plates from between the 1910s-1920s. The set features a red and cream glaze and a gilt wheat leaf pattern around the inside of the red glaze and the center. Very elegant yet simple pattern that could still match many other patterns of china.
Each plate of the set is marked on the reverse with the Royal Doulton hallmark.
The set is in great overall condition. Each plate has a good ring to it when tapped. There are some slight scratches to the red rim, and to the eating surface in the center, but less than what would be expected for the age of the set, nothing noticeable at all. There are no chips, no breaks, and no repairs. The gilt work is all intact and in fantastic condition.
