12 Antique Sterling Silver Gorham King George 1894 Dessert Fruit Knives 7 3/8"
Regular price
$420.00
Presented is an antique set of 12 sterling silver fruit or dessert knives made by Gorham during the late 19th century. This set is in the King George pattern, which was patented in 1894. This set is old, original production. This pattern is very similar to many other King and English Kings patterns by Dominick & Haff, Reed & Barton, Whiting and International. Each handle has a monogram of the initials APL. The knives have their origional carbon steel blades.
The handles are marked for Gorham and sterling silver purity.
This set is in good overall condition considering its age. There is minor surface wear but the raised designs are crisp. There is some corrosion to 4 of the blades, but this could be removed with steel wool.
These knives are not dishwasher safe because of their carbon steel blades.
Length: 7 3/8 inches.
