12 Antique c1875 Aesthetic Movement Gorham Sterling Silver Demitasse Spoons

Presented is a fantastic set of 12 sterling silver demitasse spoons made by the Gorham Manufacturing Company during the 1870s or 1880s. This is an interesting set of Aesthetic Movement spoons, there are 6 pairs of matching spoons. Although the handles are done in different designs, this is most certainly an original set, as each spoon has a matching monogram of the letter G, an identical bowl and all are stylistically related . The spoons are beautifully made with highly textured designs and the back of each spoon has a nice hammered finish. The bowls have a light gold wash.

The back of each spoon is marked with the old Gorham hallmark and sterling.

This set is in fabulous overall condition and the designs are crisp. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.

Each spoon measures 4 1/2 inches long and the combined weight of the set is 131 grams or 4.6 ounces.
