Presented is a great quality set of 12 sterling silver fish or salad forks by Gorham. These forks are made in the attractive Versailles pattern, which began production in 1888. Versailles is a mixed motif pattern with classical themes, and these forks have a design of a seated woman holding a bundle of wheat, above a bull's head mask. These are sturdy, well constructed forks, made from heavy silver, with a nice heft in the hand.

The fork is hallmarked on the back with the maker's mark for Gorham as well as 'sterling'.

The set is in great condition. The details of the pattern are quite crisp. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

Each fork is approximately 6 1/2 inches long.

This piece weighs 554.7 grams or 19.6 regular ounces.
