Presented is an antique set of 11 porcelain pearlware plates made by Wedgwood during the early 1800s. The rims are classically designed with blue flower transfers. This is a great collection of early Wedgwood plates.

The undersides are all marked Wedgwood.

The overall condition of this set is very good for its age. One of the plates has a hairline crack. A few of the other plates have scratches in the glaze. Moisture has penetrated through the scratches and discolored or yellowed the porcelain underneath. There are no obvious cracks and all of the plates are usable. There are a few lines near the center of some of the plates, but these do not go through to the other side so I do not consider them cracks. In addition, when wrapped with a knuckle none of the plates have obvious reverberations indicating a crack. One of the plates has three chips along the rim, as you can see in the photos below. Otherwise, there are no other cracks, no breaks, no splits and no repairs.

Each plate measures 9 5/8 inches in diameter. Weight: 8 lbs 6.9 oz (3825.5 grams)
