11 Antique Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Gorham Versailles 1888 Forks 6 3/4"

Presented is a fine quality set of 11 sterling silver forks made by Gorham. This set is in the multi-motif Versailles pattern, which was patented in 1888. The top of each handle has a chased design of an angel holding a basket of fruit and the rest of the handle is elaborately decorated with leaf, scroll and shell embellishments. The back of each handle has an old monogram of what appears to be the initials ZC. The pieces in this set are very thick and heavy solid sterling silver.

Each fork is marked with the Gorham hallmark, sterling and copyrighted. These pieces are all old production.

This set is in excellent condition. There is some wear to some of the high points but overall, the designs are quite good. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.

Each fork measures 6 3/4 inches long the combined weight of the set is 557 grams or 19.6 ounces.
