Regular price
$588.00
Presented is an antique set of 11 sterling silver small candy or nut dishes made by Gorham in the year 1891. Each square piece has a raised, decorative rim covered in sinuous leaf flourishes. The flat center portion of each dish has a lovely gold wash with a finely engraved monogram of the initials LMM.
The underside of each dish is marked with the Gorham hallmark, sterling and the lion date symbol for the year 1891.
This set is in excellent overall condition and the designs are crisp. There is some minor surface wear and some wear to the gold wash on some dishes but there are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
Each dish measures 3 1/4 by 3 1/4 inches.
Weight: 223 grams.
