11 Ahrenfeldt Limoges Porcelain Rose Floral Plates
Regular price
$497.00
Presented is a lovely set of 11 Limoges porcelain plates by Charles Ahrenfeldt. Charles Ahrenfeldt was a wonderful quality porcelain maker from Limoges, France. The plates are beautifully hand painted over a transfer decoration with pink roses and other blue and yellow flowers. The rims are elegantly gilded. The plates were made in the late 1800s or early 1900s, before the 1920s.
The plates are marked on the underside with a maker’s mark of CA for Charles Ahrenfeldt, France, Fabrique en France, and Richard Briggs Co, Boston for the retailer.
The plates are in great overall condition. Two of the plates have chips on the rim as you can see in the photos. There is also some wear to the gilding on the edges, but this is minor. There are no other chips, no cracks, no hairlines, no crazing, no breaks, and no repairs.
The plates are 9 7/8 inches in diameter. Weight: 11 lbs 9.7 oz (5263.5 grams)
