Presented is a elegant sterling silver set of 10 oval soup spoons or dessert spoons from Whiting Manufacturing Co. This set is in classic Louis XV pattern, which was patented in 1891 and displays an elegant scroll boarder on both sides of the handle. Half of the set does not have a monogram. Four of the spoons are monogrammed “F” in Old English script on the front and “1895” on the back. The final spoon is monogrammed “ALL” in a flowing script.
The reverse of each piece is marked sterling along with the maker's mark for Whiting and the patent date of 1891.
This set is in great overall condition. Some of the spoons could be polished to a higher finish. There are no breaks and no repairs.
