Presented is a wonderful sterling silver set of 10 ice cream or dessert spoons from Whiting Manufacturing Co. This set is in classic Louis XV pattern, which was patented in 1891 and displays an elegant scroll boarder on both sides of the handle. There is a monogram on the front of each handle, “C” in an Old English script.
The reverse of each piece is marked sterling along with the maker's mark for Whiting and the patent date of 1891.
This set is in great overall condition. The pattern decorations are crisp. There are no breaks and no repairs.
