Presented is a neat, modern 14 karat yellow gold and sapphire brooch or pin. This is an interesting piece done in the form of a wasp, hornet, bee or yellow-jacket. The abdomen and thorax are covered in securely prong set, well matched sapphires. There are 20 faceted sapphires ranging from about 6-10 points in size. There is an average of 140 points or nearly 1 1/2 carats in total sapphire weight in this pin. The wings are finely textured in a honeycomb design. The clasp has a safety latch for added security.

The pin is marked 14K. Tested and guaranteed 14k gold.
