Unique Retro 14k Gold Sapphire Ruby Topaz Opal Flower Wheelbarrow Pin Pendant

Regular price $1,800.00 $0.00 Unit price per

Presented is an eye catching 14K gold pin or pendant done in the form of a
garden wagon full of flowers. The pin is set with many different types of stones
including pink tourmaline, opal, aquamarine, sapphire, topaz, citrine, coral,
blue zircon, and ruby. The stones are all securely prong set. This pin is
probably a custom made piece. It looks like the style of Raymond Yard of New
York City. Tiffany & Company and a number of other jewelers also did pieces
in this style from the 1940s and through the 1950s. The pin is very well made.
The wheel on the garden wagon actually turns around. The pin has great
construction with little nuts and screws on the back. There is a loop on the
back of the pin so that it can also be worn as a pendant. This loop is
retractable so it will not be visible when the piece is worn as a pin. The pin
was definitely made in America, certainly in the 1940s or 1950s.

The pin is not marked. We have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee it to
be 14K gold.

The condition is great overall. The stones are all securely prong set. There
is a little bit of glue/epoxy around the small round ruby towards the right. The
red cabochon at about the 12 o'clock position has an interior crack or line, but
is still securely set. No missing stones. There are no chips, no splits, no
breaks, and no repairs.

The pin measures 1 7/8 inches by 1 7/8 inches.

The weight is 28.8 grams. -jm
