Presented is a stunning pair of signed Charles Garnier 18 karat gold earrings. The earrings are done as a loop of dark mirror-finish metal with yellow gold ends, hanging from a fan design in matte finish and bright finish gold. The metallic grey color is some type of enamel. The metal underneath is 18k yellow gold.
The earrings are very sleek and stylish, with all the elegance and quality expected of Garnier's designs. The earrings have omega style clipbacks with posts, for pierced ears. The earrings come in their original, signed storage bag, with Charles Garnier's name and maker's mark in gold lettering, as well as Paris and 18k. Even the storage back is opulent and high quality, fine grey suede with gold metal corners, and two separate compartments to protect the earrings' finish.
Each earring is stamped on the back with the Charles Garnier maker's mark and a copyright symbol. On the omega earring backs themselves is the French eagle's head hallmark for 18 karat gold and 750.
The earrings are in great overall condition. One earring has a dent to the back of the grey enamel loop portion, and another tiny
ding up closer to the top gold portion. Both of these are on the reverse so this is very hard to notice, as it is on the back of the earring, and if the earring is worn on the left ear it will be on the part closer to the back of the head as well, very unlikely to ever be seen during normal wear. Other than that, the earrings are in great shape, smooth and clean.
The omega style clipbacks have a good strong spring mechanism.
Each earring is about 2 inches long.
The total weight for the pair is 13.9 grams. All of this weight is 18k gold.
