Superb Gorham 33pc Hispana Sovereign Flatware Set Crisp No Wear

Presented is a lovely Gorham sterling silver 33 piece flatware set. This set is made in the elegant Hispana pattern, called Hispana-Sovereign on Replacements.com, which began production in 1968. This is an attractive pattern featuring a crown design supported by scrolls for the terminal of the handle. The pieces are all sturdy and well made from heavy gauge silver, with a nice feeling of weight and balance in the hand. The knives have stainless steel blades, in the Modern form.

The set consists of:

5 knives--9 inches long.
7 forks--7 1/2 inches long.
5 salad forks--6 3/4 inches long.
8 teaspoons--6 inches long.
7 oval soup/dessert/place spoons--6 3/4 inches long.
1 butter knife-6 7/8 inches long.

This set is in great condition and looks unused. The only surface wear is very minor The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. The forks have no knife wear to the backs of the tines. There are no splits, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

Each non-knife piece is stamped with the Gorham maker's mark as well as sterling. The knives are marked on the blades with Gorham, sterling handle, and stainless blade. The teaspoons are also marked with the name of the pattern, Hispana.

The total weight for the set, not including the knives because of their carbon steel blades, is 1285 grams, or 45.3 regular ounces.
