Presented is a beautiful 14 karat yellow gold and pearl pin made in Japan around the 1950s. This piece is very Japanese in style, with sturdy 14 karat gold rope twisted wire pieces swirling out from behind a group of large pearls. Although the pearls are quite large, most of the weight is in gold on this pin. The clasp has a safety mechanism and is very secure.
The clasp is marked K14.
The pearls are 7.5 to 8 mm.
This piece is in fabulous condition. There are no missing pieces, no breaks, no splits, no dents and no repairs.
The pin measures 2 1/4 inches wide and weighs 17.2 grams.
