Stylish 14k Gold & Sterling Silver Marlin Swordfish Bracelet
Presented is a stylish marlin or swordfish bracelet, in silver and 14 karat gold. This piece dates to around the 1970s-1980s, and is likely of American make, although we can't read the maker's mark. The focus of the bracelet is a large gold marlin or swordfish, with a diamond eye. The rest of the bracelet is made up of two sections of silver, done as three 'ropes' and with gold endcaps. Despite the rope appearance, the bracelet is stiff, not flexible. The bracelet has a heavy, great quality lobster claw clasp. The bracelet is very well made, with a nice feeling of weight on the wrist.
The bracelet is in great condition. The clasp functions well and closes securely. There are no breaks and no repairs.
The marlin itself is stamped with an illegible maker's mark and 14k. The endcap is also stamped 14k, while the lobster claw clasp is stamped 18k. The white metal is sterling silver, tested and guaranteed.
The bracelet has an interior circumference of about 7 1/4 inches, so it will fit a wrist just under that size.
This piece weighs 30.3 grams. We estimate that at least 20 grams of this weight is in the gold fish and clasps.
