Stunning 7pc Italian Sterling Silver Tea Set with Matching Tray by Peruzzi

Presented is a handsome 7 piece sterling silver tea set by Peruzzi of Italy. The set is beautifully done in classic lobed form with hand chased acanthus leaf decoration on the scroll form handles. The set comes with a matching tray with a threaded rim. The set has tremendous weight. It was probably made in the 1930s. Silver produced in Italy in the 1800s and through the early 1900s was generally 800 purity silver. Italy, starting in the 1920s and accelerating in the 1930s, began producing sterling silver. The hallmarks on this set and the fact that it is sterling silver almost certainly mean that this set was produced in the 1930s. The set includes: Coffee pot: 9 1/8 inches wide from handle to spout, 8 5/8 inches tall Teapot: 9 3/4 inches wide from handle to spout, 8 inches tall
Chocolate pot: 7 1/2 inches wide from handle to spout, 5 7/8 inches tall
Covered sugar bowl: 5 3/8 inches from handle to handle, 4 3/4 inches tall
Creamer: 5 1/2 inches wide from handle to spout, 5 1/4 inches tall
Water or milk pitcher: 8 inches wide from handle to spout, 7 5/8 inches tall
Tray: 17 1/4 inches by 28 inches Each piece including the tray is hallmarked on the underside with Peruzzi and 925. The condition is excellent. All the pieces are extremely clean on the interior and ready to be used. There are no dents, no dings, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals, no breaks, and no repairs. The total weight of the set is 5757 grams or 201.7 ounces.
