Rare VTG Tiffany Co 14k Yellow Gold Perfume Scent Vial Bottle Solid Gold
Regular price
$3,000.00
Presented is a superb quality Tiffany & Co 14 karat yellow gold perfume vial, dating to around the 1950s-1970s. The vial is made in a rectangular form that looks rather like a lipstick case, but the lid flips up to reveal a little stopper with an applicator tip. The exterior of the piece is done in a stylish vertical ribbed design on all sides. The topmost face of the vial has an engraved monogram of JSM in flowing script, but the gold is quite thick and this monogram could be professionally removed without thinning the metal too much. Really an incredible and rare piece.
The interior of the lid is stamped with the Tiffany & Co maker's mark as well as 14k. The applicator is also stamped 14k.
This piece is in excellent condition. The hinged lid opens and shuts smoothly. The stopper/dauber inside fits fairly tightly into the opening, though we haven't put anything inside to see if it's water-tight. There are no dents, no breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The perfume vial measures about 2 ¼ inches long and is about 5/8 of an inch square.
The total weight for the piece is 37.7 grams, or 1.3 regular ounces. All of this weight is 14 karat gold, there are no non-gold parts.
